Changing times !!

Hello Everyone !! Once again after a long time. More than 4 years after my last post, to be precise.
A lot has happened both on personal as well as professional front. So much so that one post would just not be enough to tell everything. In fact it would take many posts if I go in detail of everything.

First thing first..I moved to Jamshedpur to join Tata Steel. Having worked earlier in IT MNCs, to join an Indian manufacturing company like Tata Steel was quite an important decision of my career. Me and my wife were trying to get settled together since a long time after our marriage(in June 2009). In fact we had already spent 2 years in search, to find some respectable job at a common place. Both of us were exploring the options and trying for it since a long time. Finally I got this information about the opening in IT division of Tata Steel, from one of my college friend and applied for it. Got through it. With some compromises, decided to join and have been here since then. In between completed my mba from xlri evening batch (2012-15).
After I moved to Tata Steel, my brother joined Intel, Bhabhi joined her M Tech course at IIIT Blore..All these happened within a very short time span. Can't forget the day when I was moving out of Bangalore, to start a new life at JSR. Bhaiya was crying like a small kid, or you may say like a mother. Had never seen him so expressive. This could have been the effect of weakness from inside, which later got aggravated..Finally it culminated in anxiety and he had to take medicines for it.

Have experienced ups and downs on professional side here in Tata Steel. The office environment is so full of politics and favoritism. Although you may say it that it is present in almost all corner of the corporate world, the only difference is its deep rooted presence here. The worst part is that when you listen lecture from s**t people, without being in a position to do much, you feel disgruntled. But fortunately in such lot of filthy people, there are few who understands and values the talent and doesn't just go by their own perception. Anyways, you got to deal with such useless people who are in majority, and should have the ability to identify the ones who understands and values the talent. Thats the only mantra for success apart from possessing the real talent and identifying your own strengths. I realized it a bit late here. But as it is said, 'Der aaye durust aaye' I think there is no going back now. I am enjoying my job currently, since it is my interest area and pretty much inline with my specialization in MBA. Not planning to look for another job in near future. But who knows, if s**t people sitting on top of department takes the boat to a direction from where there is no coming back, then I may have to take a different route.

That pretty much summarizes about whats happening at my professional front. A lot has happened on personal front. Many of them I can share and many which I can't. So let us keep it for some other time. Like always, I promise to myself again that I will be more regular on blogs now onward.
Good night !!

Attitude!!

If you type 'attitude' in google and press enter, you will get more than 120 million results. That itself shows how important a word it is.It has a lot of significance in defining your character. Now the point is,whats a right attitude and whats not right. In my view there are 2 aspects while answering this question. For me anything which hurts someone's sentiment is not a right attitude, even though you feel that it could be benificial for you in both long and short term.Sometime same behaviour with 2 different persons can be termed as right and wrong at the same time.Fearing just too much about future is not right attitude. Not thinking about future at all is also not a right attitude. One should take the present as it is,and plan for future also smartly..Not bothering at all about anyone other than your loved ones or just go on preaching others whats right and whats wrong is not a right attitude.
As per web results,an attitude can be defined as:
"a complex mental state involving beliefs and feelings and values and dispositions to act in certain ways".
If your words gives solace to someone's heart, its a right attitude.Giving good suggestion to someone, about things correct in your view, is a right attitude.but if your suggestions are not right in that person's view and he/she disagrees, then going mad over it is not right attitude.Same way, accepting someone's valuable suggestions gracefully is right attitude but just go on accepting whatever is said to you is not a right attitude. You need to have your own thinking machine also in working state.Woh bolte hain na "Hamare yahan muft ki advise dene ko sabhi ready rehte hain"..After all its free of cost:)Same way, being confident about certain things is right attitude. But the attitude that only you are correct, everyone els is wrong,is not right.I remember the dialogue from one hindi movie,"There is a very thin line between confidence and arrogance..'I can do it' is confidence..But 'only I can do it' is arrogance".
Most importantly, what you communicate through words are not as important as how you communicate. You can be correct in saying something. But if the person in front of you thinks that you were arrogant,he/she will try to negate it with logics which might be wrong. At the same time, even if your points are wrong, but you are communicating it to the person in front of you in right way,he/she will agree to you(at least temporarily). Its all about how smartly you do it.

Swinging between both extremes

Its been long since my last post and I haven't got the enthusiasm to write down few words.I would be so much wrong if I say it was due to lack of time or anything else other than just plain lack of enthusiasm..It has been a mixed feeling in last couple of months, some good, in fact lot of good memories to store in mind for lifelong, and some not so good too.Sometime things look so mysterious, you look at it with different angles and it looks so different to you.I think thats the beauty of life, its always unpredictable. But anyway, leaving all these things behind,I am here to share lot of things which I somehow missed in my previous blogs.I had such a good time with my wife(and u can say my life too)in our honeymoon trip.I will be making another post soon about our honeymoon trip experiences and places we visited,so for now I will not go in detail about it because its such a long list that if I share it here then anyone reading my post will start feeling sleepy after sometime.Anyway,I think its that part of your life for which you keep waiting since I don't know how long.As far as I am concerned,I don't remember when it came to my mind first, but I used to be so fascinated with this word whenever it was used in any hindi movie:)As a school going kid in my 9th or 10th std, I too, like many other kids, was quite filmchi and used to watch hindi movies a lot.And this word was not so uncommon in those days movies.I always used to think why a couple go for honeymoon after marriage. Now I understand, why its so important. You keep yourself away from all the complexities of this world for those few days, without any tension, just you and your spouse. As I had written it sometime back, but never posted it due to some or the other reason, nothing in life is as complex as life itself. You get the good and bad feeling both at the same time about certain things. So,this shehed chanda is always a refreshing experience and gives a new zest to your life.Ours too was a memorable trip and we will certainly cherish those 9 days for rest of our(?) life.
Apart from our shehed chanda trip, there was one more happy event, which we are still enjoying.Hamare ghar ek nanhi pari aai hai,my neice, and I forget everything when I am playing with her.We celebrated her 7th month 2 days back on 2nd may.She has started crawling too now and it feels like heavenly when I am with her:)Its like I pray from God for time to stop when she is in her full masti mood. She makes me laugh with her unidentifiable voice which only she can understand. But time has never stopped and will never do so just because someone wants it that way.It has to go on and so the unpredictability of life.God only knows whats next on your plate:)Sounds pessimistic, but thats the truth and no one can ignore this truth.

I just want to live happily and I have no problem in avoiding things which doesn't make me happy.Life by birth is not so complex, its the ppl who make it so.
I am attaching my neice's video here..Nazar mat lagana plz;)Just kidding:)

Hopefully I will find some enthu, forcing my dullness away for sometime,to make a new post soon:)See u all soon.Till then, try enjoying the present.

The finest collection of quotes I could get

Here are some of the finest collection of quotes I could find over net. They are so true..
Your greatness is measured by your kindness; your education and intellect by your modesty; your ignorance is betrayed by your suspicions and prejudices, and your real caliber is measured by the consideration and tolerance you have for others.

“The highest result of education is tolerance.”

"There is no love without forgiveness, and there is no forgiveness without love.."

“When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.”

“Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach.”

“You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.”

“The test of courage comes when we are in the minority. The test of tolerance comes when we are in the majority.”

“I have learned silence from the talkative, tolerance from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind."

“It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.”

"Toleration is the greatest gift of the mind; it requires the same effort of the brain that it takes to balance oneself on a bicycle."

Tonality and body language matters a lot

These are not originally written by me,but I think I can relate them with my personal feelings so wanted to share them with all who have not yet had a chance to go through any such posts ..Here it goes:

Words only form 7% or so of our communication, the rest is 38% tonality and 55% body language!

And this measly 7% still has to go through our personal filters of the world, and you wonder how anybody gets anything said and done.

We must be smarter than we think ;P

We all know this intuitively. That’s why most of us know that to talk about important things, it has to be face-to-face, or at least on the phone. There’s so much information you can read from just being with a person, seeing their gestures, their posture, the pitch of their voice, and so much you can miss without all that (93% of the communication!).

Imagine a hot date screaming at you at the top of their lungs; ‘You idiot!’ vs. your hot date whispering in a soft sultry voice ‘You idiot’. Same words, but different tonality (probably different body language too hmm) and thus; different communication.

By the way, that’s why I think we invented smileys, you know, the :) :( ;P things. Why? Because they’re visual! And they add the missing visual elements from our words. Even a smiley like this >:( is different from this >;) Saying ‘You idiot’ is different from ‘You idiot ;) ’.

And you know what? I think women have a one-up on us on this. I mean, with all the girls who could make the word ‘it’s ok’ mean so many different things at different times…

Aawazon ke bazaron mein khamoshi pehchane kaun

One of my all time favorite Ghazal by Jagjit Singh.I used to watch the serial Neem Ka Ped just to listen this when it used to be played in the beginning of the serial..Jagjit Singh singing the song in front of the candle.Whenever I listen it now,it gives me the nostalgia feeling. Can't say how much I love this song. Here is the lyrics, which I didn't understand at that time, but now understand how each and every words of it are so true..You can also visit the link:
Munh ki baat....

"munh ki baat sune har koi, dil ke dard ko jaane kaun
munh ki baat sune har koi, dil ke dard ko jaane kaun
aawazon ke bazaron mein, khamoshi pehchane kaun
aawazon ke bazaron mein, khamoshi pehchane kaun
munh ki.....

sadiyon sadiyon wahi tamasha, rashta rashta lambi khoj
sadiyon sadiyon wahi tamasha, rashta rashta lambi khoj
lekin jab hum mil jaate hain, kho jaata hai jaane kaun
lekin jab hum mil jaate hain, kho jaata hai jaane kaun
aawazon ke bazaron mein, khamoshi pehchane kaun
munh ki....

woh mera aaeena hai ya,main uski parchhai hoon,
woh mera aaeena hai ya main uski parchhai hoon
mere hi ghar mein rehta hai, mujh jaisa hi jaane kaun
aawazon ke bazaron mein khamoshi pehchane kaun
munh ki....

kiran kiran alsaata suraj, palak palak khulti neendein
kiran kiran alsaata suraj, palak palak khulti neendein
dheemein dheemein bikhar raha hai,
zarra zarra jaane kaun..
munh ki baat sune har koi ,dil ke dard ko jaane kaun
aawazon ke bazaron mein khamoshi pehchane kaun

munh ki baat sune har koi......"

Thats the way I am

A silent sigh, that goes unnoticed more often than not. Is it benevolence or is foolishness, to be so selfless. Selflessness and Selfishness are indirectly proportional. The more selfless you are the more selfishness you will encounter.Or is it just the temptation of an easy prey that is very hard to resist. It is true if one does not understand your silence they will never understand your words, but in a world where loud cries and screams often go unheard, is it possible to find a single soul that understands the language of silence.

Would someone stop for a moment to hear the language not of the mouth but the eyes? The moment you mention that the world scorns at you saying there is only one person whose eyes you would read in the whole wide world. Amusing expression, which fails to justify how compassion, care and courtesy can be selective? Either you are or you aren’t, Isn’t that the cardinal rule? And yet relentless lost souls refuse to mend their ways, for it truly is just a test of relentlessness, perseverance and will power, to be aware that there will be no positive response from any side and yet give to the best of your ability without any expectation from anywhere, and go on because there is always tomorrow.

The GoTo Lady

She's perhaps, rather I should not use the word "perhaps" here, the most important person in your life - and you'll never acknowledge it.Most of the time you take it for granted..

Perhaps the only constant relationship you maintain over the years, without realizing it. It won't be hard - You'll do nothing more for each other than just listen - hear each other out. And it'll be enough, in fact it'll be more than enough.I always wonder how she is able to read what I have inside.I too always try to do the same, sometime I succeed too but most of the time I don't.I want her to be treated by others too d same way I treat her.But many times things don't go your way and then you get closer to that lady.

She's a friend - a friend you never reached out to. A friendship born out of coincidence and chance. Not someone you want or desire, but someone who's always seemed to be just background to your life. All that makes her special is that your soul is naked to her - she's the one with whom you have never put up on your pretensions. She's the one who's never judged you for it. She's just this girl in your life, never platonic with a hint of impossibility to it. She's just there, somewhere.

But, when shit happens; She's the first one you go to.

The Gentle Art of Blessing

Yesterday, while reading through one of the story from "Chicken soup for soul",I came across these texts and I liked them very much.If everyone in this world starts following this as a part of their general routine, this world could become such a wonderful place to live.As I discovered later while googling, its a well known collection of beautiful and message carrying texts which was written by Pierre Pradervand.I have provided a link at the end of it which takes you to a movie made by another lover of these texts like me.And please,do comment,if you liked them. The texts goes like this:
"On awaking, bless this day,for it is already full of unseen good which your blessings will call forth;for to bless is to acknowledge the unlimited good that is embedded in the very texture of universe and awaiting each and all.
On passing people in the street,on the bus,in places to work and play, bless them. The peace of your blessing will companion them on their way,and the aura of its gentle fragrance will be a light on their path.
On meeting people and talking to them, bless them in their health, their work, their joy, their relationship to the universe, themselves and others.Bless them in their abundance and their finances.Bless them in every conceivable way,for such blessings not only sow seeds of blessing but one day will spring forth as flowers in the waste places of your own life.
As you walk, bless the city in which you live, its governments and teachers, its nurses and sweepers, its children and bankers, its priests and prostitutes. The minute anyone expresses the least aggression and unkindness to you, respond with a blessing.Bless them totally, sincerely, joyfully, for such blessings are a shield that protects you from the ignorance of this misdeed, and deflects the arrow that was aimed at you.
To bless means to wish, unconditionally, total unrestricted good for others and events from the deepest chamber of your heart. It means to hallow,to hold in reverence,to behold with utter awe that which is always a gift from the Creator. He who is hallowed by your blessings is set aside, consecrated, holy whole. To bless is yet to invoke divine care upon,to speak or think gratefully for,to confer happinessupon-although we are never the bestower, but simply the joyfull witnesses of life's abundance.
To bless all without discrimination of any sort is the ultimate form of giving because those you bless will never know from whence came the sudden ray that burst through the clouds of their skies and you will rarely be a witness to the sunlight in their lives.
When you pass a hospital, bless its patients in their present wholeness, for even in their suffering, their wholeness awaits in them to be discovered. When your eyes behold a man in tears or seemingly broken by life, bless him in his vitality and joy.
It is impossible to bless and judge at the same time. So,hold constantly as a deep, hallowed, intoned thought the desire to bless, for truly then shall you become a peacemaker and one day you shall behold, everywhere, the very face of God.
P.S. And of course, above all,do not forget to bless the utterly beautiful person YOU are."

Who is to blame

I don't have any good thing to write about right now.But I need to take out my frustration through some means and I found blog as the only means.I am going to write about one of the worst floods of Bihar in a long long time.I haven't seen the ground situation out there, but I can definitely tell you that its nothing less than a catastrophe.I love my village more than anything else and I think if on earth there is any heaven,it must be my village(obviously its just my thought and everyone else will disagree with my thought).I thought its worth mentioning here, because I wanted to convey this message that I love my village a lot. But this flood has left no hope for me and thousands of other ppl like me.The ground situation is that tens of thousands of ppl are staying day and night on some high area, like road side or canal side, leaving their home. Those who found any means to escape from there have already done that and the whole populated areas must be really echoing with the sound of emptiness.I am again saying this even if I haven't seen the ground situation, but I can certainly feel it.Blame it on the misfortune of Bihar or the lack of willingness of politicians, but the fact of the matter is that the magnitude of devastation out there is beyond imagination. And there are lot to come.Ppl who used to earn their bread and butther on daily basis, they will be mostly affected, because they will not be able to find any work for them,at least for next 2-3 months.
Obviously geographical location of Bihar has always been a blockage in its development, but its the lack of willingness of the politicians too which has caused this havoc. If they could have anticipated this earlier, the magnitude would never have been so much. These politicians come only at the time of elections and innocent ppl gets trapped in their tactics. They take evrything for granted. They can't even manage a dam(that too an earth dam) properly.
As always have been the case, the flood water may go down and even the embankment could be repaired back, and the situation may improve(I am optimistic in sayng that),but the situation will never be the same. The scars it has left will take lot of time to heal.We can't even say that God save Bihar, because if that is not the case here.In fact its just reverse.Only we common ppl have to do something. But again the question is that what can we do..Totally helpless. We have to rely upon god only, may be he will have some mercy over Bihar.

Goal Of My Life

Seems like life is really short and in this short period everyone is running behind something. But what is that something, nobody is sure about it.The goal of life is decided not by the person, but in fact wherever life is taking us,we go in that direction. Sometime I feel like I am too ascetic a guy.But the next moment when I see ppl around me,it seems like I am not the only one.I am not sure what is correct and what is wrong.Sometime I feel pity for ppl who wants to do everything in a very short time period.I agree that life has become fast but that doesn't mean that we cannot afford to take out some from our precious time for those who are less privileged than us.Having said that,I realize that I too belong to such category.Want to do many things, but am too lazy to do all of them.In other words I am not competent enough to achieve everything.I feel ashamed when I see that whatever I have done till now in my life, its boundary ends at my family and friends. But whenever I have done even a bit for totally unknown person who is in need of something,I have felt a joy like never before. But I have found myself with such feelings very rarely, because of our own life's complexities and requirements. The basic problem is that the requirements of any person never ends,so the art of being happy in whatever you have,is very important.I know I am being too idealistic in saying that but its a fact. For me,to succeed in your life, you need to be crystal clear about your goals.I know that its not possible to decide in initial phase of your life. But at least you can amend your goals when its needed.I think I have an opportunity now and I WILL get what I want.I am not a coward and I have the courrage and competency to achieve what I want from my life. At the same time I am also a part of this material world only, and I don't claim that I am a saint. So,if life gives me a chance,I will first look for my family, then for me then for my native place and then for rest.I sincerely want to do something for my native place. But,as they say,you never know whats going to happen the next moment, its to be seen that till what extent I am successful in achieving the goals of my life.

Wow!!what a day for me!!

I am one of the happiest man on this planet,at least today..what a day it was!!
First of all, being a friday, its always a special day.And above that,I got such a good news!!My bhabhi got placed today and that too in her first attempt itself.Other good news are also there. But I am not going to mention them here due to various reasons:-)
Anyway, after a long time again I got into a mood to put down my feelings in written format, doesn't matter its electronic media or whatever.Lot of things have been happening in this period of time both personally and professionally. On personal front, I got few good and few bad news too.But the happiness I have got from good things happening, has obviously outweighed the sorrow I have got from bad news.Anyway, they are always a part of life.Sometime you feel that everyone in this world is happier than you.But next time the feelings change and you start feeling that,no,things are not going as bad as I think.I think the best solution for such situation is to look upon those ppl who are less privileged. The problem is that you cannot be in same mood forever. The time you see yourself getting past of bad times, you tend to forget the things. This is the situation with everyone in this world.I can say it with very confidence that no one in the world is JUST happy. There must be one or the other kind of things due to which he is not JUST happy. In such scenario I always remember the question asked by Yaksh(remember Mahabharat?) to Yudhishthir, that who is the happiest person in this world. If you don't know the answer, you just need to refresh ur gk about Hindu epics.
I think I am going in wrong direction for this topic:-)Its just the emotions which came out.
The final thing which comes to my mind is that, the root cause for everything is MAYA...If someone is able to have a control over this, then I think his/her life is successful.
I would love to have a control on it,but I know that I won't be able to..
I have a question here.If MAYA would have been such a bad thing, then god wouldn't have created this world(if at all he created it).
Anybody who can answer my question?
